It was Saturday and I was watching rerun episodes of "The Rifleman". I decided to start a small, yet overdue, reload project. I am sure all of you know how difficult it is to find factory ammunition so this project would be beneficial and fun.
Like I said, it was a small reload project, 300 rounds of .38 +P. I just seated and crimped my last round and a question popped into my head, "I wonder how many reloaders take the time to waterproof their cartridges?" I know several shooters and reloaders but I think I am the only one that waterproofs. I use "MARKRON" Custom Bullet and Primer Sealer. According to the manufacturer this product this will seal or waterproof "All Primers, Black Powder Nipples, and Bullet Case Joints".
I have tested Markron, in my own primitive way and this product works great.
How many of you waterproof your reloads? If you do, what kind of waterproofing product do you use. Several years ago I read an article about using "fingernail" polish to accomplish the same results. Has anyone tried nail polish?
